The UEFA Nations League is linked with the UEFA European Championship qualifying, providing teams another chance to qualify for the UEFA European Championship. There were play-offs for each of Leagues A, B, C, and D in October and November 2024. Each group winner earned a spot in the semi-finals.

In addition to a financial prize, the team that manages to win the trophy will also receive a sporting reward: the 2024/23 Nations League champions will be given privileged status in qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. They will be drawn into a group of five teams, instead of the usual six.
